BYFA Coaching Philosophy

BYFA Coaching Philosophy

"Success is getting a group of kids to play together, as a team, play hard, and reach their ultimate potential while having fun."

At BYFA level of football we have a strong belief that all players deserve to experience game time if they are prepared to put the effort into training. Yes we want to see our teams win, but importantly want to ensure that each player gets the opportunity to play, (8 play min.). We believe that a player should be provided the opportunity to make decisions, both good and bad.

  • Why play for the Boerne Bulls?

We care about you and your child. We are a different program than all the others and ask that you not compare us to others. We are a competitive flag and tackle football program that focuses on life lessons. Our goal is to learn the game, learn a few life lessons, and have fun every time we get together.

How do I register my child?

You can register online by clicking the link on our main menu. Our home page or our Event Calendar will have information about upcoming onsite registrations or ongoing events.

Is travel involved with game days?

YES. In all divisions, we play 4 games at home, which is the Boerne ISD Football Stadium. Through our association with CTYFL, we will play 4 road games at locations to be determined in the Texas Hill Country. For more information on the league and the teams we will potentially play, please go to CTYFL's website.

How frequent does my child have to practice?

It is expected that we will practice 3 days a week for fall season. Practice typically lasts 2 hours for tackle and cheer. Flag will be 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. Cheerleading practices will be no more than 3 days a week, but will likely require a much lower time commitment.
